This Wednesday we are off to Crested Butte, Colorado to participate in a program put on by the Adaptive Sports Center there. It is called "A High Adventure Weekend for Families with Children with Autism." You can read about it here and here.
I'm not worried about the Prince, but I hope the Professor and I can handle the "high adventures" we about to undertake! I'll be sure to report back!
I was also interested to learn that out of the eight families participating, most of us are on various special diets, mostly GFCF but also SCD, and SF in some cases too!

Is it really under $500 for a family of 4?? Does that include lodging?? WOW.
Hope you have a great time!
Is it really under $500 for a family of 4 for the whole weekend?? Does that include lodging, too??
WOW. Sounds like a blast... maybe we can join you next year if you go again.
Wow looks great! Hope you all have the best time!
Hi all,
Just a quick note, we are in day 2 of our adventure weekend and having tons of fun. We are about to leave with the group for a day of water activities, canoeing, swimming and an overnight camp-out!
Erin, yes the rate is $295 for 2 and $100 for each additional person. It includes all the food, but the only "lodging" are the tents for camping one night! For the other nights, you are on your own for lodging. But the Adaptive Sports people will help you with accommmodations or anything you need.
The Prince is having a blast and so are we! More when we get back!

Hi GFCF Mommy! What a great vacation! Sounds like a blast! I wanted to make sure you and your readers knew about my newest blog, Lend4Health. It facilitates loans to parents seeking biomedical treatments for their ASD kids. Thought you might be interested in checking it out. If you like the idea, please pass it on...
